Christy C. Brown
Christy C. Brown is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, College of Law 1995, J.D. with distinction. She is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts in both Arizona and Oklahoma.
Ms. Brown’s practice focuses primarily in family law,commercial litigation, insurance litigation and analysis, and landlord/tenant. She also counsels clients in federal and state insurance regulatory compliance issues, as well as matters before the State Banking Department and the Industrial Commission of Arizona.
Ms. Brown has represented insurers, professional employer organizations, businesses, insurance agents, mortgage companies, and title companies in various legal matters. Examples of cases include: disputes between workers compensation insurers and employers relating to claims handling and premium disputes; disputes between healthcare providers and insurance companies over pricing and costs; wrongful termination, disputes relating to business dissolution; insurance bad faith cases; personal injury; insurance coverage opinions; disputes between insurance companies and insurance agencies; and disputes between homeowners and homeowners associations.
Regulatory matters include, for example: service fee filings with the Arizona Department of Insurance; insurance agent license applications and renewals; representation of insurance agents and companies in response to complaints and investigations by the Arizona Department of Insurance.
